Diaspora payer checklist and worksheet

Prepare an order for someone in Zimbabwe without making the payer responsible for guessing local details. Name the roles, agree the specification and plan how the recipient will check the goods.

Get the local decision before funding

Ask the recipient or responsible professional to approve the product and destination. For a home appliance, confirm the exact model and space; for farm inputs, preserve the grower's or adviser's specification. A business profile can help identify an enquiry route but does not establish a partnership, payment method or delivery guarantee.

Keep the financial and receiving roles separate

The payer supplies a payment claim privately, and the merchant confirms funds against the receiving record. The recipient needs the goods list and handover arrangement, not necessarily the payer's sensitive evidence. If a collector is involved, state whether they may accept changes or only collect the agreed goods. Avoid forwarding private access links beyond the intended participants.

Plan an honest completion record

Ask the local recipient to record what arrived and any visible exception. Installation or other technical checks may remain pending after physical delivery. The merchant's delivery report is distinct from the recipient's acknowledgement. Use the worksheet to prepare these roles and questions, then use the actual order's private channels for transaction evidence.

Putting the record into practice

A payer abroad funds a home purchase while a relative receives it. The relative approves the model and access arrangement first. After the merchant confirms funds, the relative checks delivery and records a missing accessory without treating payment as proof of a complete handover.
