How PostOrder Uses Data
PostOrder needs the information required to keep an order clear, secure and useful to the people involved.

The purpose
We use data to
- Create and secure accounts.
- Create a clear order record.
- Show payment and fulfilment status.
- Share the right information with buyers and recipients.
- Provide support and administer the service.
- Keep PostOrder secure and prevent abuse.
The boundaries
We do not
- Sell personal information to advertisers.
- Make a payment claim count as confirmed money.
- Show private payment evidence in recipient confirmation views.
- Deliberately expose one merchant’s data to another merchant.
Keep full card details, banking passwords and one-time codes out of notes, uploads and support messages.
Access follows the role
Who can see what
Merchant
Authorised business users see the business and order information their role permits so they can manage the transaction.
Buyer
The buyer sees the scoped order and tracking information intended for them, including relevant payment-status records.
Recipient
A recipient-only link shows limited delivery/receipt information. If you also act as buyer, a combined customer link can include buyer information.
PostOrder / LionTech
We and our service providers process information needed to operate, secure, administer and support the platform.
