Ordering cement in Zimbabwe
Ask the responsible contractor to specify the cement product before seeking quotations. Compare the same designation and quantity, then make storage, loading and receipt part of the agreement.
Preserve the technical specification
PPC publishes product designations and Zimbabwe sales contacts. Use the contractor's selected designation in the enquiry rather than relying on bag colour or a shorthand brand name. A different cement product needs review by the person responsible for the work. This buying guide does not design concrete mixes or determine suitability for a structural application.

Make quantity and delivery comparable
Ask each seller to state the product, quantity unit and package details. Identify the invoice issuer and supplying location, then clarify transport and unloading charges under the actual quote. Ask what happens if a line is short or a pack arrives visibly damaged. Do not treat a sales office address as proof that the order will be collected from that office.
| Question | Record |
|---|---|
| Which cement? | Full approved product designation |
| How much? | Quoted unit and delivered quantity |
| Where supplied? | Actual release or dispatch location |

Prepare the site to receive the load
Obtain and follow the applicable storage instructions before arranging delivery. Give the recipient the approved product and quantity list, and record each partial load separately. Keep the seller's delivery document with any quantity evidence supplied. A paid invoice indicates a financial record; the site still needs to confirm what product and quantity physically arrived.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please quote the exact cement product specified for the work and state the bag count, selling unit and proposed source of supply. Flag any change in product designation for the responsible construction professional to review. Confirm the release point and the supplied handling guidance before transport is booked. At receipt, the site will compare labels, quantities and visible condition with the accepted order.

Putting the record into practice
A project receives cement in two loads. The first recipient records only the quantity in the first load and leaves the balance open. The second load is checked against that balance. The example does not assume a standard bag size or a delivery policy.
