PPC Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe buying profile
A PPC cement enquiry should state the product designation required by the person responsible for the work. Keep technical selection separate from the commercial questions about quantity, storage and collection.

Use the product specification, not the bag colour
PPC publishes cement product information, including a SURECEM designation for Harare and Bulawayo. Ask the contractor or designer to identify the required product for the job. This profile does not choose a cement class, design a mix or determine whether a product is suitable for structural work.
Copy the full product name from the agreed specification into the quotation request. If a seller proposes another product, return that proposal to the responsible professional. A familiar brand name alone does not establish that two cement products are interchangeable.

Resolve the supply and storage arrangement
PPC lists Zimbabwe sales offices. Use the relevant contact route to confirm whether the order should be handled directly or through a seller. Identify who issues the invoice, who receives payment and where collection or dispatch would occur.
Ask for the quantity unit and package details used in the quote. Before accepting delivery, confirm that the site can receive and store the material according to the supplier's instructions. Keep transport costs, unloading responsibilities and any damaged-pack process explicit rather than assuming they are included in the material price.

Count what arrives and retain the paper trail
At handover, reconcile the actual product and quantity with the approved quote and delivery record. Record visibly damaged packaging and unresolved differences while the load is accessible. If goods arrive in more than one load, maintain a line-by-line balance. Payment received by the merchant and cement received by the site are separate events.

Putting the record into practice
A contractor specifies a cement product for a small job. A buyer receives a lower quote for a different designation and asks the contractor to review it before changing the order. At collection, the recipient checks the agreed designation on the supplied packs. The example does not prescribe a cement choice.
