Booking vehicle servicing in Zimbabwe
Agree the authorised work and the approval process for additions before leaving a vehicle. A service booking should identify the workshop, vehicle, payer and person allowed to collect.
Describe the work without inventing a diagnosis
Use the owner's description of symptoms and the vehicle information requested by the workshop. Croco and Autoworld publish service enquiry routes, but the branch must confirm the actual booking. Distinguish routine servicing from fault investigation and ask what the first quoted stage covers. A symptom report is not proof of which component has failed.

Set a clear limit on extra work
Record which items are approved and who may authorise an additional part or labour line. If the payer is abroad, agree how the revised description and amount will reach them. The driver dropping off the vehicle should know whether they can approve changes. Retain the workshop's explanation and the accepted revision so a later invoice can be reconciled.
| Person | Authority to define |
|---|---|
| Owner | Requested work and observed symptoms |
| Payer | Approved amount and revisions |
| Collector | Release and documents received |

Collect the work record with the vehicle
Ask for the completed job description and applicable documentation. The collector should note any unresolved observation and the workshop's response. Payment, vehicle release and the owner's assessment after collection are separate events. Do not mark every concern resolved merely because the invoice is paid or the vehicle has left the workshop.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please record the vehicle identifier, the reported concern and the work initially authorised. State what the inspection covers and how additional parts or labour would be proposed for approval. The person dropping off the vehicle may describe the issue but cannot accept an increased scope without the nominated payer's approval. At collection, provide a description of the work performed and any remaining recommendations.

Putting the record into practice
The workshop identifies another issue after the vehicle is inspected. The nominated approver receives a revised scope before authorising it. The collector later checks the final job description against that approval and records a remaining concern separately.
Keep this with the order
