Buying stationery in Zimbabwe
Compare stationery by product and individual-unit count, while retaining the seller's commercial pack unit. Dispensers, cartons and small packs can produce misleading totals if their contents are left unstated.
Define the user requirement
Eversharp's official profile describes pens, markers and stationery, and Halsted lists stationery among its categories. Ask the school or office to specify the writing product, colour and other relevant requirements. Avoid replacing a capped pen with another format without approval simply because both fit the same budget.

Reconcile packaging levels
Ask the seller to confirm how many units are represented by each quoted pack. Where cartons contain dispensers, retain both levels and the resulting individual count. Use the same basis when comparing quotes. A revised colour mix or tip type should be shown as a change to the order, not concealed within a similar overall quantity.
| Level | Record |
|---|---|
| Item | Product, colour or tip |
| Pack | Units per commercial pack |
| Order | Packs and total individual units |

Count before issuing supplies
The receiving person should inspect labels and count packs before distributing items among users. Keep the invoice and note wrong or damaged lines. Later internal distribution is separate from merchant delivery. For repeat orders, use the final product and pack record as the enquiry reference while asking the seller to reconfirm the current configuration.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please quote each pen or stationery line with its colour, point or model reference and pack configuration. Show the number of individual items represented by each quoted box. Identify any alternative colour mix before approval so distribution plans can be checked. The office recipient will count the final configuration, and the accepted list will become the reference for a fresh enquiry when the supplies are reordered.

Putting the record into practice
An office needs a particular pen colour, but a lower quote uses an assorted pack. The buyer asks for the correct colour mix and equal unit count before comparing. The receiver checks the final pack labels before issuing supplies.
