Buying event snacks in Zimbabwe
Build an event basket around the organiser's approved products and actual pack counts. Keep the supplier's handover separate from distribution at the event.
Get the organiser's list approved
Cairns and National Foods publish snack and food ranges. Use those ranges for discovery, then confirm the actual product and pack with the seller. Ask the organiser to approve the selection, including any requirements that depend on the label. This page does not certify allergen safety or make dietary recommendations; the responsible organiser must check the products used.

Compare cases on a common basis
Record retail packs per case and the number of cases ordered. Ask for clarification when a quote uses only a brand or case description. If a substitute changes the format or count, obtain approval before dispatch. Keep the agreed event destination and delivery arrangement on the order rather than assuming a general shop address is the final receiving point.
| Role | Task |
|---|---|
| Organiser | Approve selection and requirements |
| Payer | Approve the complete commercial basket |
| Receiver | Count before distribution |

Count before distributing
Appoint someone to receive and reconcile the basket before packs are sent to tables, rooms or teams. Record wrong lines and visible packaging damage promptly. If another transporter collects from the seller, preserve that first handover separately. Payment confirmation should not close the goods record before the event receiver has checked what arrived.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please quote the event or kitchen list by named product, pack size and required count. Provide the relevant product label information for the organiser to review against dietary requirements. Mark proposed substitutions clearly and keep them pending until accepted. The recipient will check quantities and packaging at handover; the order must not assume a replacement is suitable merely because it belongs to the same food category.

Putting the record into practice
A school event receives the correct number of cases but one contains a different snack format. The receiving team checks the agreed list before distributing anything and asks the organiser whether to accept the change. The payment record remains separate from that decision.
