Ordering vehicle parts in Zimbabwe
Identify a replacement part through the vehicle and the seller's confirmed reference. Appearance, a loose description or a familiar brand is not enough to establish compatibility.
Give the parts team the identifiers it needs
Ask which vehicle details are required and send them through the private enquiry channel. Toyota Zimbabwe and Transerv provide routes for parts enquiries, but the actual seller must confirm the product. Avoid publishing vehicle identifiers in public comments or source-correction requests. Keep the confirmed part reference attached to the quotation.

Compare supply and fitting separately
A parts price may exclude fitting, associated components or another check needed by the workshop. Ask for the scope explicitly. If a substitute is offered, have the person responsible for the vehicle approve compatibility before the payer accepts it. Record any applicable return or discrepancy terms directly from the seller rather than assuming all unused parts can be exchanged.
| Compare | Keep distinct |

Check the final reference at handover
Give the collector the approved identifier and package count. Where fitting is included, retain the completed work description as a separate record. A merchant's confirmation of funds does not prove the correct part was supplied, and physical receipt does not prove successful installation. Keep those checks distinct so an issue can be described precisely.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please match the request to the vehicle identifier and relevant part number, returning any compatibility question before quoting a substitute. Identify the actual brand or specification offered and whether fitting is included. The mechanic will approve suitability; the collector may only accept the agreed item. Retain the supplier's applicable terms with the order and keep an unused package identifiable until the receiving check is complete.

Putting the record into practice
A seller proposes an alternative filter after checking the vehicle details. The workshop reviews the reference before the payer accepts the revised quote. The collector checks that reference at pickup. The example does not claim that any named supplier holds the item.
