Buying pipes and fittings in Zimbabwe
Order a connected system, not a collection of similar-looking parts. A pipe schedule should preserve the application, material, dimensions and matching fittings approved by the responsible installer.
Start with a checked schedule
Proplastics and Harare Pumps & Irrigation describe pipe-related offerings, but a product range does not select a design for your site. Ask the responsible specialist to identify the required specification. Record any material, pressure or connection information that the specialist provides without reducing it to a diameter alone. This page is an ordering framework rather than engineering advice.

Find the missing small components
List fittings, adaptors and specified accessories alongside straight lengths or coils. Ask sellers to distinguish exact matches from alternatives. A low total may omit the components that connect the main pipe to existing equipment. The installer should approve changes before the payer authorises the revised basket, especially where different suppliers use different naming conventions.
| Schedule field | Check |
|---|---|
| Pipe | Material, specification and length unit |
| Fittings | Connection and quantity |
| Alternatives | Installer's recorded approval |

Check markings before the pipe is laid
At receipt, compare product markings and quantities against the final schedule. Separate missing fittings from damaged lengths in the discrepancy record. If materials are moved to several sites, record that distribution separately from the merchant's original handover. Avoid treating delivery as confirmation that a completed system is suitable or has passed installation checks.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please quote the installer's line list with each pipe and fitting identifier preserved. Show lengths, quantities and pack units separately, and flag any proposed change to the specified system for technical review. Do not substitute an apparently similar fitting without approval. The collector needs a picking list that groups matching parts, while the installer will assess suitability and installation requirements at the work site.

Putting the record into practice
A buyer receives the main pipe but not two scheduled adaptors. The recipient records the pipe as delivered and the adaptors as outstanding. The installer waits for the correct components instead of accepting an unreviewed replacement to close the order.
