Ordering furniture in Zimbabwe
Record dimensions, configuration, material or finish and assembly responsibility before approving furniture. A showroom photograph rarely captures everything needed for a remote purchase.
Measure the room and the route
TV Sales & Home publishes furniture categories. For a finished item, confirm the model and dimensions with the seller and ask the recipient to check the room and access route. For a custom project using board or door materials, have the maker prepare a checked specification. A finished furniture purchase and a fabrication-material order need different scopes.

Define what the quote includes
Ask whether delivery, assembly, fittings or other work is included. Keep finish and configuration explicit, including the number of pieces in a set. If custom work is proposed, approve a drawing or sample version and identify who owns the measurements. Obtain actual change and discrepancy terms before committing rather than assuming every item can be returned unchanged.
| Purchase type | Primary reference |

Inspect at the right stage
At delivery, count pieces and note visible condition before assembly or further processing. If assembly is included, record its completion separately and identify unresolved issues. The payer's receipt of a photograph does not replace the local recipient's inspection. Keep the exact approved model or drawing available so a concern can be described against the agreement.

Enquiry brief to adapt
Please quote the selected item or approved drawing with dimensions, finish and components clearly listed. Identify assembly and delivery only where included, and state what information you need about access at the destination. Keep custom changes on a dated version approved before production. The recipient will check the delivered pieces and visible condition, while any outstanding assembly or agreed finishing work remains a separate completion item.

Putting the record into practice
A relative approves a furniture set for a Zimbabwe home. The recipient confirms the room and doorway dimensions, then checks the number of pieces at delivery. One assembly task remains open and is recorded separately from the delivered goods.
